Terms & Conditions 

1. The closing date for entry forms to be received at the British Franchise Association Offices, Centurion Court, 85f Milton Park, Abingdon, OX14 4RY is Friday 29th June 2012. Proof of Postage will not be accepted as proof of receipt. No responsibility will be taken by any of the parties listed at 12 below for entries lost, damaged, or delayed in the post. Damaged or defaced entries will be disqualified.
2. The Franchisor is permitted to nominate one Franchisee per Region and all entries must be on the official Entry Form, signed by an accredited representative of both the Franchisor and the Franchisee. Entrants must supply financial or other information as requested. Entrants consent to disclosure of all information provided by them to any party involved in assessing their entry which shall include, but which shall not be limited to, any of the parties listed at 12 below.
3. From all entries, the Judges will select Regional Semi-Finalists – all of whom will be notified by post. Regional Finalists will be selected from the Regional Semi-Finalists and notified by post. Regional and National Winners will be selected from the Regional Finalists.
4. Regional Finalists will be required to attend an interview with the judging panel on 15th and/or 16th August 2012 depending on region, following which the winners will be determined. A maximum of three representatives of the business may attend the judging session.
5. The Winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner in Birmingham on Thursday 4th October 2012.
6. The judging panel’s decision is final and binding and no correspondence whatsoever will be entered into.
7. All entry material submitted will be available for collection from the British Franchise Association, Centurion Court, 85f Milton Park, Abingdon, OX14 4RY between 8th October 2012 and 30th November 2012. Please advise the bfa Offices in writing, before the latter date, should you wish to arrange for collection. Thereafter all unclaimed entry material will be destroyed.
8. The names and postal districts/counties of the Regional Semi-Finalists and Regional Finalists, together with a list of judges will be available from the British Franchise Association, Centurion Court, 85f Milton Park, Abingdon, OX14 4RY after Friday 27th July 2012. Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope with your request.
9. The parties listed at 12 below reserve the right to feature the names and postal districts/counties of all Regional Semi-Finalists and Regional Finalists in future promotions and all Semi-Finalists and Finalists agree to participate without payment in any publicity surrounding the Franchisee of the Year Awards, which may or may not be published or broadcast as a result.
10. The organisers and sponsors each reserve the right to vary, suspend or terminate the bfa HSBC Franchisee of the Year Awards, supported by Express Newspapers at any time.
11. The organisers have the right to vary without notice the judging panel.
12. The organiser of the Franchisee of the Year Awards is the British Franchise Association, Centurion Court, 85f Milton Park, Abingdon, OX14 4RY. The sponsors are HSBC Bank plc and Express Newspapers. The Promoter is Consolidated PR.
