Case Study - Joe King

Joe KingUntil I joined Barking Mad I was an Outdoor Education Instructor working with young people in adventurous settings, it was a great job but when discovered Barking Mad I simply knew I had to get involved.

As a first time business owner, the support I received has helped me through the initial phases of my business. Knowing that there are real and normal people there to help has been a real comfort. The contact centre are amazing, taking calls for me so I can concentrate on all the other tasks that require my attention.

It can be lonely running a business yourself but the other franchisees have been friendly and offer useful advice. I am thrilled with my decision and have confidence that Barking Mad is going from strength to strength.

My advice: go for it! But be prepared to work very hard. It isn’t all roses and one has to be prepared to wait for deferred gratification! Be open to the advice and support of colleagues, and to be willing to share ideas.
