Dave Elwood is one of Cash Generator’s most successful franchisees, owning a total of 10 stores with additional stores to open this year.
Previously a school teacher, Dave ventured into franchising after a short spell in retail. Attracted to the discount retailer's solid business model, Dave is proof that the established buy, sell and loan concept is perfectly suited for franchising.
“I invested in Cash Generator over a decade ago and have embraced the business whole-heartedly. As such, I have been able to expand in line with the discount retailer, reaching a total of 10 stores in 2010. I am still ambitious and plan to open two new stores this year.”
Dave, who has worked hard to build up his Cash Generator portfolio of stores, is an inspiration to other franchisees. After opening his fifth store, Dave was able to finance all future expansion personally, without the need to turn to the bank to raise the capital. It is this business acumen that Dave wants to pass on to other franchisees as an ambassador for the brand.
“In addition to my own expansion plans, I also want to invest further in Cash Generator, becoming an ambassador. With growth a key part of the company’s plans for 2011, I want to inspire both new and existing franchisees to embrace the company’s expansion, ensuring they evolve with the brand to realise their full potential.”
