Case Study - Alistair Hoy

Alistair Hoy - ChipsAway FranchiseeWhen Alistair Hoy invested in a ChipsAway franchise earlier this year, he had big plans for his business. Although he intended to operate initially as a ‘man and a van’, his sights were firmly set on opening a ChipsAway CarCare Centre within six months, as a first step to establishing a management franchise. Having achieved that, Alistair has now begun the process of building a team of technicians to help him; he expects to invest in additional ChipsAway vehicles over the coming months and predicts that if all goes according to plan, his ChipsAway franchise will be a million pound turnover business within three to five years.

“I have held senior roles in companies operating in the USA and Asia and because I wasn’t in the position to invest in one of the major franchise brands, I wanted a business opportunity with the potential to grow into a sizeable operation,” Alistair explains.

ChipsAway emerged as the clear choice, offering a scaleable business model, a massive potential marketplace and a growing brand presence in the marketplace.

Alistair confirms, “Although ChipsAway has been established in the UK for over fifteen years, I feel as though I’ve got in on something that’s just beginning. Brand awareness is growing and so is market share.”
