Tony Mawdsley had no previous experience in kitchens or home improvements. He was attracted to In-toto's business proposal by its' 'clean' nature (no long hours preparing fast food, clearing drains or valeting cars). It offered real satisfaction and the promise of a very good income. The lack of related experience has been no bar to success for other In-toto showroom such as Cheltenham, Leamington Spa or Teddington. It simply means that In-toto's training is a little more intensive and the 'post showroom opening' care more rigorous to ensure success.

Tony's research is an example to any business. Out of sheer enthusiasm he studied the competition around Plymouth, the kitchen market in general, properties and marketing. He learned enough to know that opening an In-toto in Plymouth was likely to cater for a relatively untapped mid-upper level market. This knowledge boosted his confidence. With an early presence on In-toto's web pages and a direct mail campaign several fruitful leads have resulted. That coupled with Tony's friendly attitude and wonderful way with people gave him a great start.
