Charity thrilled at bfa contribution 23/12/2011 09:43

Kati Bristow-Wade from PAWS collects the £6,000 chequeThe bfa Chairman chooses a charity every year which is close to the Chairman’s heart. This year Michael Eyre chose the charity PAWS (Parents Autism Workshop and Support). PAWS was set up in 2010 by Dogs for the Disabled in response to unprecedented interest in the charity’s autism assistance dog program, which places trained assistance dogs into the families of children with autism. Michael Eyre chose PAWS having seen their work firsthand and the way in which the life of a family affected by autism can be improved by the addition of a well trained dog, able to support an autistic child.

Richard Holden from Lloyds TSB helped present the cheque along with Michael Eyre in recognition of all of Lloyds TSB’s generous sponsorship of the Chairman’s Charity Day, which helped raise the incredible £6,000 donation. Kati Bristow-Wade from PAWS was delighted to collect the cheque and ended the evening with a small talk on the great work PAWS carries out.
