New staff organisation at the bfa 16/06/2017 10:54

Kelly Blackmore-Lee, the bfa Head of Compliance, Kelly Blackmore-Leeis off to pastures new at the end of this month. This presented an opportunity for a re-organisation of the staffing structure to help move the Association into its next phase of development. Kelly said, “It is with great sadness I leave the bfa and a role I have enjoyed for the last four years but know I leave the standards of the bfa in very capable hands. The bfa has some very exciting times ahead and I am delighted to be remaining in franchising where I can continue to see the bfa grow”.

The standards, which underpin the Association, will be taken forward by Carly Liaromatis who, after six years at the bfa, will form part of the wider management team as a direct report to the Chief Executive. Carly commented, “I’m really passionate about good franchising and the standards we uphold at the bfa and am very excited to be part of the management team and have the opportunity to contribute to the work we do going forward”.

To further strengthen the team at bfa HQ, longstanding Business Development Manager, Helen Thompson will be coming off the road to take forward a new role as Business Support Manager. Helen will support Emily Price, Head of Operations to continue driving Member engagement and recruitment across all Association stakeholders. Helen said, “There are some exciting initiatives ahead and I’m looking forward to being in a role that is integral to the delivery. The opportunity to support the CEO and Head of Operations couldn’t have come at a better time for me. I’m truly passionate about the bfa and franchising and being involved more widely”.

The recruitment to backfill Helen’s place on the road is already complete with the appointment of Cassim Gibbs who will work alongside the already existing Business Development Manager, Samantha Roberts.

bfa Management Team

Pip Wilkins, CEO at the bfa said, “Our number one challenge is always the continuous recruitment of new franchisors, professional affiliates and franchisees into Membership of the Association. The team I lead now – headed up by Emily Price, Helen Thompson, Carly Liaromatis and Helen Bodiam – is one with depth and strength in the standards we represent but also with the commitment to deliver – to deliver on our core objectives and widen the size and reach of the bfa”.
