Driver Hire Recruit For Growth 30/05/2011 04:23

DriverHireNewRecruitsDriver Hire, one of the leading transport and logistics recruitment franchises, is recruiting more staff to keep pace with current trading and expected growth. Following a strong performance in 2010/11 when revenue from its UK network of offices increased by 22% to £70m, the company has enjoyed a more than satisfactory start to the new financial year.

In light of these results, the firm has announced two new additions to its national accounts team. Joining from Hay's International Healthcare is Alisdair Dunphy who takes over the role of National Sales Manager. Also joining the team is graduate Kam Gosal as Junior Account Manager.

In addition, Andrew Johnson has been appointed to the newly created role of Midlands Regional Development Manager to support in the expansion of the Midlands office network. Andrew is a recruitment professional, having worked in the industry for 17 years, specialising in staff for logistics, supply chain and manufacturing.

James Willerton has been appointed as manager of Driver Hire Craven. After gaining hands-on experience running his own recruitment company, most recently James was a business advisor with Business Link.

Commenting on the appointments, Driver Hire's Chief Executive, Chris Chidley said: “National Accounts continues to be an important engine of growth within our business, hence our decision to add further strength and experience to the team. Last year it contributed 20% to our annual turnover and represented 40% of annual growth. I'm very optimistic for the year ahead with our mix of blue chip national customers and local SMEs continuing to drive our office network forward to further success.”
