Franchise training manager wins advisory award 11/02/2013 04:05

Jo Nockels, TaxAssist training and comms manager - and now recognised award-winnerAn award for providing user-friendly professional advice to journalists has gone to one of the senior staff at national small business accountancy franchise TaxAssist Accountants.

Jo Nockels, training and communications manager at the company, beat some of the UK’s largest law, accountancy and financial services communications teams to win the coveted Professional Adviser of the Year award from independent professional advice website, unbiased.co.uk. Judging was conducted by an expert panel of industry specialists, journalists and product providers.

Karen Barrett, chief executive of the website, commented: “Our site provides informed comments, case studies and opinions to more than 400 personal finance journalists throughout the year. Jo manages to put often complex accountancy issues and regulations into succinct, layman’s language, which is so refreshing and helps us to promote the value of professional advice.”
