Thursday, 16th February saw the grand opening of Guinot’s first franchise based in Ireland. The new franchisee, Valerie Craven was joined by International Franchise Director, Edouard Falguiere, to cut the ribbon and officially open the new salon in the centre of Celbridge, Co. Kildare.
The exciting new addition to the High Street was well welcomed by the local community and Valerie was delighted to receive the support of friends, family and existing clients who helped to make the opening a success.
The former jewellery shop has been transformed into a Guinot franchise, showcasing the clean lines and iconic red and white colour scheme associated with the brand. The salon is in a prime retail location on the High Street, and now houses three state-of-the-art treatment rooms where Valerie and her team can provide their clients the best service possible, in a relaxed and luxury environment.
Valerie is currently Guinot’s only franchisee in Ireland, however she is not new to the brand. Valerie initially trained with Guinot over 30 years ago and ran her own successful home-based salon. She was originally attracted to the idea of franchising when her local Guinot Business Development Manager recommended the opportunity as a viable way to fulfil her aspiration of opening her own high street salon. As well as this, Valerie was also attracted to the extensive level of training, marketing and business support that she would receive from the highly knowledgeable and trained Guinot franchise team.
Speaking about the success of the launch, Valerie said, "I am very excited about my new venture. It took a while to secure the property, but from then everything moved very quickly and the transformation took only a matter of weeks. I have received lots of support from the hard working franchise team at Guinot and I couldn’t have done it without them. After the initial training and marketing support, it is important for me to know that this support will continue.
“I really enjoy being a beauty therapist, as well as managing the business, but both roles can be demanding, and for the salon to succeed, successful marketing is vital. Thankfully there is a dedicated franchise marketing team at Guinot, and they provide me with creative collateral every 6 weeks. I am very much looking forward to being part of the Guinot franchise network and developing my business in 2017.”
