Mac Tools has announced the appointment of Chris Magson to franchise recruitment manager in an internal move for the tools franchise. Chris has worked in Mac Tools’s general accounting team for the past ten years, most recently as Stanley Black & Decker’s UK IAR commercial finance manager, and replaces outgoing Paul Clegg.
In his new role, Chris will be responsible for managing and further developing the Mac Tools franchise recruitment department, guiding prospective franchisees through the process of setting up their franchise and providing assistance with the challenges involved when starting a business.
Chris said: “Mac Tools can change lives and as recruitment manager you see that happening by giving people an opportunity to be part of something special, that feeling is second-to-none. I am looking forward to helping people achieve their aspirations of running and owning their own successful business. I really like the intensity of the role, as the team is always striving to deliver industry-leading standards.”
Even though Chris already knows the business so well, he received in-depth training to provide him with the knowledge and skillset needed for his new role.
“I was fortunate to already know the Mac Tools business model and, to a lesser extent, the Mac Tools recruitment concept because of my close links to the commercial team in my previous role. The training was great and to have a two month handover with Paul, the previous recruitment manager, was invaluable,” explains Chris.
