Moreland Insurance break new franchising ground 23/08/2012 11:23

Maurice Logie is delighted by the new dealMoreland Insurance has created a new style of cost-effective insurance solution for All Trades Network, the building repair franchise and bfa Provisionally Listed Company that services the insurance industry as well as individual property owners.

By leveraging the buying power of the 45-centre franchise, Moreland has been able to negotiate a comprehensive cover for both franchisees and franchisor, including professional indemnity and liability insurance. The combined policy is a breakthrough in the franchising sector and may appeal to other brands seeking insurance options that cover both their central operations and their network.

Maurice Logie, director of Moreland Insurance, said: “The combined policy for All Trades Network means that everyone in the franchise is covered to the same standard and that there are no gaps in policy cover which could create unforeseen surprises for tradesmen that could bounce back to the franchisees and franchisor.

“This deal, which opens up new opportunities for franchisees, plays to Moreland's recognised strengths of identifying the nature of risk in particular circumstances and coming up with tailored and fitting solutions.”

Moreland Insurance is the bfa’s first Brand Partner and a long-time supporter of both ethical franchising and the Association. Members of the bfa are provided with advantageous products and services by the Hamilton-based company.
