OPC continues enjoying exciting start to 2017 with yet another new franchisee 27/02/2017 11:24

Original Poster CompanyOriginal Poster Company (OPC) have just finished settling the Aujla Team in place in Birmingham and are now off to Teeside/Durham to welcome the lovely Beverley Potts into the OPC greeting cards family!

Beverley had worked for the Durham County Council for over 14 years, but always yearned for something she could do for herself and after a considerable amount of research; she decided that OPC was where she would be able to do just that – work for herself and not by herself.

Dawn Hammond, OPC Business Development Manager, is delighted to have Beverley join her team and says, “Beverley has grasped the merchandising principles quickly and demonstrated excellent memory retention when it came to product and displays.”

The OPC Team wish Beverley all the very best in her franchise and look forward to celebrating her future achievements.

Previous franchisees, Malcolm and Jill Massey, had been with OPC for many years and wish them a fond farewell and best wishes for their future.

Original Poster CompanyOPC are also welcoming a new member to their head office team with Jonathan Gilbert starting as their new National Accounts Manager. He replaces Kim Richardson, current National Accounts Manager, who has decided to take early retirement from OPC on 1 March.

Kim says ‘’I have had an enjoyable 8 years working at OPC, and will leave with fond memories of my accounts, their buyers, franchisees, and especially all the people at Support Office who have become very good friends. I plan to use the time playing golf and tennis, walking and having lots more holidays!’’

Jonathan Gilbert will be taking over the reins from Kim as our new National Accounts Manager after a relatively long career in greetings cards commencing in 1996 with Ling Design. 

Jonathan held several different sales and management roles covering all types of accounts through independents, nationals, charities and bespoke print businesses at Ling Design and has also worked with International Cards and Gifts and local (to him) retailer G&T World of Cards.

At OPC, Jonathan will be working to build on the mutually beneficial relationships with existing national accounts and concentrating on new business through current and emerging sectors.

“Kim’s knowledge of both the greeting card sector and national accounts has helped her make a tremendous contribution during her time with OPC, plus her support in many other aspects of the business has been hugely appreciated by me personally and the rest of the team,” said Mark Thompson, Managing Director, OPC.
