robertson technologies has awarded its fifth franchise and is now supporting the small business sector in the Heathrow area.
The Heathrow franchise will serve the south west suburbs of Greater London, covering south Middlesex and north west Surrey and has been taken on by Tim Maycock, a seasoned IT practitioner and manager.
A youthful 50, Tim has enjoyed a long and successful career in corporate IT, and feathers in his cap include stints at healthcare giant Hoffmann La Roche and printing behemoth Xerox. Latterly he was one of three partners to establish and run a thriving SAP (Systems, Applications and Products) consultancy.
Explaining the move to robertson technologies and his decision to set up on his own, Tim said: "The consultancy was fantastic, but many of the SAP projects were on a national basis, requiring a lot of travel. I have also been in the corporate environment for 25 years and was very keen to not only work in my local area, but also to establish something for myself, in a more entrepreneurial mould, wholly on the back of my own efforts."
Hamish Robertson, founder of robertson technologies, added: "TimÕs ability to play front of house with clients while understanding the technical detail that sits behind their needs will help the franchise quickly build a strong and loyal customer base in his local community.
"He has a wealth of fantastic experience and is very focused on creating a strong business in his local area. We are very excited about helping Tim develop the potential of the Heathrow territory and expect the business to grow quickly in 2011."
Based in Edinburgh, robertson technologies was established in 2005. It launched its franchise proposition in 2010 and is on course to have awarded 15 franchise territories by the end of 2011.
