robertson technologies, the Edinburgh-headquartered computer support and franchising business, has made two new appointments to its management team.
Tim Simpson, previously a senior sales consultant in the business, has been made General Manager responsible for the day-to-day running of the business, while Graham Johnson has been appointed Support Manager, responsible for job planning and resourcing. Both men took up their new roles on 1 April.
Company founder and MD, Hamish Robertson (27) said: “We have had a tremendous run of success in attracting potential franchisees to develop our business model throughout the country and I wanted to secure our base operation – which looks after some 170 businesses in the central belt of Scotland - with two proven performers.
“In Tim and Graham, I am very confident we have appointed the right people to make our operation in Edinburgh even more finely-tuned to the needs of our growing band of customers while I make a large part of my focus the recruitment of franchisees.”
Mr Robertson, who started the business in 2005 when he was still at university and has already appointed five franchisees in Scotland and England, is currently sifting through around twenty serious applications for robertson technologies franchises following a highly successful franchise exhibition last month at London’s Olympia.
“I expect we will be in a position to report the sale of franchises numbers six through to eight within the next few months, though it could be one or two more than that if present indications are fulfilled”, he said.
