Good Buddy Award Winner 2011 - Jasmine Foster with Sir Bernard InghamThe Children's achievement awards were presented by Nigel Lindsay at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London, on Monday 28th November 2011.

The Awards, launched last year at the House of Commons, are organised by Stagecoach Theatre Arts, one of the world's largest network of part-time children's performing arts schools. They were established to recognise, acknowledge and reward young people from all walks of life who have either faced adversity, demonstrated bravery, shown courage, cared for others and proved they are good role models for young people.

The awards are supported by many friends including: The Stage, RADA, Spotlight, CBT, Daily Express, and the Awards Patrons Viscountess Mackintosh of Halifax and Sir Bernard Ingham.

Stephanie Manuel, Stagecoach's co-founder said: "The winners of these awards are the unsung heroes of today. Stagecoach has been both, inspired and humbled by the achievements of these remarkable young people.  Indeed, it is a great honour for Stagecoach to be able to mark their achievements and on behalf of Stagecoach Theatre Arts; I would like to offer all this year's winners my best wishes for the future."

Members of the cast of Shrek the musical joined this year's winners at the presentation, which was followed by a special questions and answers session with members of the cast. Nigel Lindsay, who stars as Shrek and who presented this year's awards, said: "These young people have displayed enormous courage and endurance. They are all young heroes and deserve special recognition."

The award winners went on to see a performance of the hit West End show, with Nigel starring as Shrek.
