The Creation Station celebrated 10 years of inspiring children’s imaginations at their national conference on 23 June at Loughborough University. Since 2002 over 64,000 children, families and organisations have enjoyed creative experiences in the brand’s 60+ franchise operations across the UK.
Sarah Cressall, founder of The Creation Station, commented on a decade of success: “It is wonderful to be supporting families and organisations with art and crafts experiences right across the UK. I started the business around the kitchen table to meet this gap in the market but also to have a rewarding, flexible career around my own three boys. It’s wonderful to be supporting other mums with the opportunity to run their own flexible and family-friendly franchise.”
The company handed out its annual awards at the conference, with Franchise Owner of the Year 2012 being named as Amrit Bedi, who runs the Glasgow franchise. The mum-of-three said: “I am delighted to have received such a prestigious award. I know there are many talented franchisees out there so it’s a great honour to receive this award. I love running my children’s art and craft classes and birthday parties, so this is the icing on cake!”
New Franchise Owner of the Year was awarded to Louise Platt, who runs her franchise in Bedfordshire; highly commended franchisees included Neela Jackson from Manchester, Melanie Dawson from Wimbledon and Aby Mason from Littlehampton.
