The Detective Project welcomes new franchisees 15/05/2017 02:54

The Detective ProjectBristol-based business, The Detective Project, has awarded three new franchisees.

The Detective Project runs CSI-themed children’s parties, school workshops and corporate away days. Participants can learn about fingerprints, DNA, chromatography and use real forensic techniques to solve a crime.

Being welcomed into The Detective Project family is Crime Scene Investigator Louise Devereux from Harrogate. Louise has nearly two decades experience of examining crime scenes. Also coming on board are business partners, Cath Reed, a primary school teacher and Mary Wood a retired police inspector, both from Sussex.

Jenny Williams, Director of The Detective Project, said, “Louise, Cath and Mary have a huge range of relevant skills and experience that mean they will be well equipped to deliver exceptional events. We are thrilled to have them on board.”

The Detective Project“This is a very exciting time for The Detective Project as this is a huge expansion for us. Our goal is to have a franchisee in every county.”

The Detective Project was founded in 2010 by Jenny Williams, an experienced former detective in the Metropolitan Police and Avon & Somerset Constabulary.

Jenny saw a business opportunity to use her skills to offer something new and unique for children’s parties. These parties captured the imaginations of budding detectives and parents alike.

Jenny then worked with teachers to develop forensic science workshops that were aligned to national curriculum objectives. This lead to work with primary and secondary schools, holiday clubs and youth groups, in developing children's interest in science through hands-on forensic challenges.

The format has been adapted for adult workshops and powerful team building events with great results.
