The growth of the coffee business in the UK is showing no signs of decline as loyal and new customers queue up for their daily cup. Tony Unstead and Donna Morris are the latest two franchisees to launch their Cafe2U businesses, looking to take full advantage of consumer demand.
Tony Unstead opened his High Wycombe and Marlow franchise territory earlier in August. With a background in sales and construction, easing into the world of barista skills has been a surprisingly seamless transition for Tony. He says: “It is a friendly, quality-conscious and driven team dedicated to bringing one of the good things in life to as many people as possible.”
Developing her territory in Motherwell, Donna Morris, who recently vacated her role volunteering as a development service manager, took her first step on the road to a new adventure by becoming a Cafe2U franchisee. She said that the “feeling of being part of larger team” was a key reason for joining the growing franchise.
A BBC feature reported in March 2012 that there are 70-million cups of coffee being sold each day and 1 in 10 adults visit a coffee outlet at least once every day as this sector continues to grow despite the economic climate. Cafe2U are looking to grow the mobile coffee market as coffee remains a key part of the British lifestyle.
