Southern-based franchise hair group set to open 3 new franchises with nationwide expansion in the North

Demonstrating that even during an unstable economic climate there are still some UK businesses which remain resilient, award-winning hairdressing group hob salons are set to open 3 new franchises next month.

Propelling them to an 18 salon group of 10 company-owned and 8 franchise branches, it's going to be a busy month in September as hob salons launch 2 franchises in North London, in addition to going national with the group expanding towards the North with a salon in Leeds.

The company's success in building and developing a strong brand identity and franchise network was recently recognised at the British Franchise Association Awards where they were shortlisted for the Express Newspapers Brand Builder of the Year Award and has been demonstrated with these latest franchise salon acquisitions.

Having joined hob salons nearly 8 years ago, Bobbi Kimonos is due to open a franchise salon in the North London suburb of Southgate, whilst Robert Edwards, currently Assistant Manager of hob salons Radlett and a member of the hob team for 11 years, will be opening in the cosmopolitan area of West Hampstead.

Danielle Hollis and Phill Hutchinson will make 2 records by becoming the first franchisee to have come from outside of the hob organisation and for opening the first hob salon in the North, as she launches in Leeds city centre. This exciting move will see all three first-time franchisees own their own salon under the ever-growing hob salons umbrella. With locations in Central & North London, Hertfordshire, Middlesex, Essex and now Leeds, these openings are equally significant for the three company directors. On the back of a monumental year where they won no less than 10 prestigious accolades including Akin Konizi scooping the HJ's British Hairdresser of the Year Award, they have grown their franchise network to a total of 8 salons, 4 of which will have opened this year alone.
