Qualified Franchise Professional (QFP) 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. All candidates must be officially registered with the British Franchise Association (bfa) in order to start accumulating any points towards their QFP.
  2. QFP registration is open to all employees of bfa accredited franchisor and Affiliate members.
  3. Only events recognised as official QFP events are eligible  for the accumulation ofpoints towards the QFP.
  4. After registering, all candidates must earn at least 3,000 QFP points within three years, with a minimum of 800 QFP points per year.
  5. All compulsory events must be attended for the QFP to be obtained, even if the 3,000 points have already been obtained.
  6. All candidates must successfully complete an interview with the QFP’s Expert Panel before QFP status can be granted.
  7. To retain the QFP there must be a demonstration of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) by attendance at further events to earn a minimum of 600 points per year.
  8. QFP qualified events and allocation of points may change at the sole discretion of the British Franchise Association.
  9. Any decision for honorary QFP status, or exemption from certain elements of the QFP are at the discretion of the bfa’s Trustees, and any such application should be made in writing to the Trustees, c/o the bfa.
  10. The use of the QFP brand is  restricted to those people who have successfully obtained and maintained QFP status.
  11. Any person who allows their QFP status to lapse will be required to re-register on the QFP programme. The QFP’s Expert Panel will advise  any conditions  that will then need to be met in terms of points accumulation.
  12. The bfa  does not recognise previously obtained QFP points other than points gained by attendance at mandatory events or workshops, where the bfa may allow points from up to two years prior to registration on the programme.
  13. The QFP is awarded to and remains with the registered and qualified individual for as long as they keep their QFP valid. The QFP cannot be attributed to a company or wider group of individuals.
  14. The QFP brand and name must be used  only  in accordance with the bfa’s guide for use and must not be misused to attribute QFP status to any such  person or entity other than the individual who has obtained the qualification. Any such misuse may result in the QFP status being withdrawn.
  15. The bfa retains the right to withdraw the QFP status of any individual for any misuse of the brand; breaking any rule of the bfa or QFP; or by any such act that may be considered to be bringing the bfa or franchising into disrepute.
  16. The Franchise Training Centre has partnered with the bfa to help develop the initial QFP programme and provide elements of the bfa programme, some of which are compulsory. Those elements are the property of the Franchise Training Centre and may change in name or structure at their discretion.
  17. The QFP brand, name and logos are property of the British Franchise Association (bfa) and can be changed at the bfa’s discretion.
  18. Any use of the QFP brand, name and logos must be by permission of the bfa.
  19. Any formal complaints regarding the QFP must be submitted in writing to the bfa head office at: British Franchise Association, Centurion Court, 85f Milton Park, Abingdon, OX14 4RY.
