Scottish Franchise Week 2009

SCOTTISH FRANCHISE WEEK

Franchising will take a decidedly Scottish flavour this summer as Scottish Franchise Week is showcased on 1st – 5th June.

Events will be taking place in Glasgow and will draw people from all over Scotland who are looking to start their own business through franchising or expand an existing business by franchising.

Now in its sixth year, Scottish Franchise Week aims to raise awareness of ethical franchising and the role which it plays in business start-up, business expansion and job creation in Scotland.

Scottish Business Breakfast 2009 Thursday 4th June 2009

Venue: Glasgow Hilton Hotel, 1 William Street, Glasgow, G3 8HT

Last year, this event, as the keystone of Scottish Franchise Week, saw in the region of 350 people attend the breakfast. With economic restrictions hitting many businesses it would be naive to expect the same numbers this year. However, with a higher quality venue and breakfast, a strong selection of speakers and a growing interest in franchising across the media, the breakfast should not be something that is forgotten.

This year the event has moved to the Glasgow Hilton Hotel, providing a full Scottish breakfast and a range of business speakers. Whether

Our speakers include successful local McDonalds franchisee, Kate Walker; Entrepreneur and founder of Shokk, Jonathan Williams; Scottish Minister for Enterprise, Energy and Tourism, Jim Mather MSP; Nokia; and president of the bfa, Sir Bernard Ingham.
