Tutor Doctor has been named Tuition Franchise of the Year at the 2026 National Tutoring Awards, recognising the brand’s outstanding contribution to tutoring across the UK and its continued investment in supporting schools, local education authorities and families. The award was presented at the fifth annual National Tutoring Awards, hosted by The Tutors’ Association at London’s Royal Lancaster Hotel, where more than 400 education professionals gathered to celebrate excellence across the sector.

Frank Milner, global president of Tutor Doctor, said, “This award is fantastic recognition of all the work our franchisees do and reflects the dedication, professionalism and passion they have towards delivering high-quality tuition that genuinely changes lives.”

Over recent years, Tutor Doctor has expanded its support for schools and local authorities through its UK Schools and Council Division, helping education providers access flexible, high-quality tuition that meets a wide range of learner needs. As a result, 75% of UK revenue is now generated through these partnerships, contributing to a 29% year-on-year growth in revenue for franchisees and a 23% increase in hours of tuition delivered in the previous 12 months.

For Frank, “By continuing this investment, our teams are supporting more schools, more local authorities and, most importantly, more students than ever before. We’re especially proud to be able to help students who may have previously not had access to the support we provide and winning this award is testament to that.”

The accolade follows a landmark year for Tutor Doctor, which has seen continued investment in safeguarding, technology and operational systems designed to help franchisees grow their businesses and strengthen partnerships with schools and local authorities.

“Education continues to evolve and us with it,” added Frank. “By investing in technology, safeguarding and operational excellence, we’re making it easier for our franchisees to position themselves as trusted tuition services for education partners while giving students the personalised support they need to succeed.”

The National Tutoring Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and professionalism across the tuition sector, recognising individuals and organisations making a significant difference to learners throughout the UK.

John Nichols, President of The Tutors’ Association, said, “Every one of this year’s winners earned their place through an independent judging process in the most competitive year we have ever run. Behind each award is a record of real impact on children and families, and that is what this profession is about.”

“We’re incredibly proud that the impact of this work has been recognised by The Tutor’s Association as we’re committed to continuing to make a major impact in the lives of students and their families,” concluded Frank.
