The bfa welcomes new member Window to the Womb! Established in 2003, Window to the Womb offers expectant parents the amazing opportunity to privately check that all is well with their baby plus the ability to see life-like pictures and movies of their baby in stunning 4D using the latest in ultrasound technology.
Over the years Window to the Womb have expanded the number of clinics and range of baby scans to offer a wide variety of well-being scans, early pregnancy scans, gender scans and 4D ultrasound scans. Many of their baby scan clinics now also now offer HD Live, the very latest in ultrasound technology. All of their scans start with a thorough wellbeing check.
The Window to the Womb baby scans are an additional and more intimate service and work in parallel with the NHS screening programme. Window to the Womb works with a team of specialist sonographers who are fully qualified, regulated and experienced; most have previously or are currently working within the NHS. Their aim is to provide expectant parents with a first class, independent ultrasound service within their local community, anywhere in the UK.
The 35 UK clinics now scan in excess of 100,000 women per year and all are registered with the Care Quality Commission, the UK’s health regulator. Window to the Womb expect to continue to open additional satellite clinics with their existing franchise partners and whilst they currently don’t have any available or vacant territories, re-sale opportunities may become available over time.
Mark Witter, one of the directors of Window to the Womb, spoke about their membership of the association; “We are delighted that our organisation has now become a member of the BFA. The independent validation of our systems, processes and business model that membership provides is important not only to prospective future franchise partners but also to our existing franchise partners. We are all looking forward to working with Pip and her team and the other members of the Association.”
