A Bouncing Success at the bfa Chairman’s Charity Day

After an action-packed Thursday at the Chairman’s Charity Day, the bfa is proud to announce that over £7,000 was raised for the bfa’s charity, The Franchise Trust.
The event was full of fun and frolics, with a mixture of activities to keep all the attendees entertained throughout the day.

There were six teams, all desperate to win and claim the spoils in the franchising world (as well as a trophy and bottle of Prosecco each). At the end of the day and when the dust had settled, the team in pink won, with members from Chantry, team D&T Chartered Accountants, Home Instead, London & Zurich and a member from EnviroVent claiming the spoils. The bfa team actually came in second place, full of pride and the odd bruise.

The day involved games such as hungry humans, with teams trying to get more balls in their basket than the other, human table football, and a gauntlet that would have been a hit in Total Wipeout. In the afternoon, people had the choice between go-karting or miscellaneous shooting events, including laser clay pigeon shooting, archery, or laser tag, where people lasered one another in a dark and twisty inflatable room.

Nick Carnes, part of Gold Sponsor PartnerWise, believes people should give it a good next year (while laser gun shots were being fired in the background):
“It’s been an awesome day. As long as they’ve got a strong heart, good legs and don’t mind a few scuffs then absolutely, they should give it a go. I would rate this day 12/10.”

Trevor Brocklebank, bfa Chairman, echoed these sentiments: “What a fantastic day. It was great fun – lots of great people, a little bit of competition, with everybody having a superb time. I loved the go-karting in particular and it’s such a brilliant day, all for charity and we raised an awful lot of money while having a great time doing it.”

After the successful event this year, we want next year’s event to be even bigger and better. More people, more activities and more money raised for charity.

A big thank you from the bfa to all of our sponsors of the event.
