The British Franchise Association’s Board has appointed bfa COO Emily Price as Trustee and Director of the Franchise Trust, the UK’s franchise charity. Emily said of the appointment: “I have a strong belief that the Trust and its work can offer a huge collective potential for the industry to give back to the UK economy and furthermore provide a pipeline of opportunity for people hoping to move into employment in franchising in the UK. The past six months have seen us redefine the Trust’s aims and secure charity fundraising opportunities to help us fund local initiatives and build valuable relationships with educators and influencers to promote franchising. Simply put, the Trust aims to create futures in franchising.”
Franchise Trust Employment Academy
The work of the trust is well underway with the successful completion of a pilot franchise trust employment academy; this programme identifies people to train in regions where there are entry level job vacancies or work experience opportunities in franchising, the main aim being to provide people with improved futures in franchising.
