A Successful Year for Sandstone Yoga & Pilates with New Franchisees!

A Successful Year for Sandstone Yoga & Pilates are pleased to have welcomed three new franchisees to the network in 2018, marking a successful end to the year. Louise Tonge, Katie Wall & Lis Sheridan sailed through selection and are excited to take on a business that they are passionate about.

Louise, the first Sandstone franchisee has practised yoga for over 20 years & in less than a year her studio is busy with a growing community. She is already running sell-out yoga retreats. She says “I love the brand & the authenticity of the company. I have felt so supported since becoming a franchisee & helping new franchisees in their journey too. My yoga studio is a wonderful safe space for the community I have created & it grows day by day.”

Kate, who became the second franchisee of Sandstone Yoga and has been a lifelong supporter of the practice says, “When the opportunity arose to own my own yoga studio and be a part of the Sandstone family, I grabbed it with both hands.

I have worked in retail marketing and ran my own successful community yoga business, both of which have provided me with skills that are perfect for running my own studio and to help further develop the Sandstone brand.

“After having my son 3 years ago and being a full time mum, I am now ready to start this new chapter in my life and couldn’t be more excited to share the positivity, peace and happiness that yoga can bring.”

Lis Sheridan, who became the third franchisee, had previously worked in education. She didn’t have any knowledge of yoga until she went travelling and experienced the practice all over the world. Lis says, “I first started yoga as a very inflexible and inexperienced newbie.

“Having worked with students and teachers as an English Teacher and Assistant Headteacher for the last fifteen years I am now very excited to be bringing my love of teaching and yoga together in heading up my Sandstone studio. After leaving education and taking a break to travel and visit shalas in far flung places the dream of my own studio rooted deep and grew tall.

“I love working with people, am obsessed with yoga in all its forms and evangelical about the benefits of a regular practice for all ages and abilities. I am looking forward to spreading Sandstones inclusive, positive and empowering approach to new communities”

Michelle Nicklin, CEO of Sandstone Yoga is thrilled to welcome aboard Louise, Kate & Lis to the Sandstone family, she says, “I first met Kate when I took my teaching out of my small attic & set up a community yoga class. The opportunity arose at exactly the right time and I thank her for the support she has shown me as a studio owner. I honestly couldn’t think of anyone better to hand my third baby onto.

“Lis epitomises our values & lives them in her yoga teaching, her career to date & in her everyday life. She radiates integrity, inclusivity & genuinely wants to share the life changing practices we provide. Having someone as a studio owner who has achieved so much in her career in education can only strengthen what we can offer.”e Yoga & Pilates with 3 New Franchisees!
