The Qualified Franchise Professional (QFP) is the formal recognition of professional knowledge and experience in franchising. It demonstrates that you understand the complexities of, and best practice in, franchising and have invested time to continuously develop your understanding. The QFP is underpinned by the BFA’s extension and interpretation to the Code of Ethics, of which the BFA is responsible for and it is important to note that this is an evolving Code to ensure it remains fit for UK franchising. As this is a programme of professional development, you are responsible for maintaining your knowledge whilst you represent as a QFP in franchising. This can be done through ongoing engagement in the Academy.
The QFP is recommended for any franchisor old, or new and advisors that want to build and demonstrate their experience and understanding of standards and ethics in franchising. BFA members obtain preferential rates to access this course.
There are two ways to complete your QFP. You can either join one of our group programmes and complete your core training over a period of 6 months. Or you can join ad-hoc modules across a three-year period. However you choose to do your qualification, you will need to accumulate 3,000 points through the core learning modules and by attending BFA events before you can do your Professional Dialogue and qualify.

This course will help you guide the process of franchisee exit, whether through resale, forced exit or retirement, as well as consider a franchisor exit. This day provides 250 CPD points.
