Goldstein Legal are a straight-talking commercial and franchise law firm originally founded by Roz Goldstein (QFP) in 2006 and purchased by Nexa Law in 2021.  Before setting up Goldstein Legal, Roz was an in-house lawyer which included working for the franchised brands: Burger King and 02.  Goldstein Legal became a member of the bfa in 2007.

The franchise team, led by Roz (who has almost thirty years of international and domestic franchise law experience) listen to your needs and offer tailored advice to help your business thrive. We offer cost-effective counsel to franchisees and franchisors at every stage of their business journey.  We utilise our business acumen and years of commercial legal experience to provide practical, commercially-focused legal advice to clients. Goldstein Legal’s strong industry reputation is built on many years of providing legal support to businesses in the UK, USA, UAE and beyond.   The core team of Catrina Newman QFP, Belle Ghaleb and Amy Leite have 30 years of franchising experience between them.  With back-up from the lawyers at Nexa, we have a great team.

In 2017, Roz used her extensive knowledge of the franchise industry to publish her book: “The Essential Guide to Franchising your Business”.

Roz says of Goldstein Legal “Our forward-thinking legal expertise is exactly what you would expect from top commercial lawyers. The secret to our success? We pride ourselves on our honesty and pragmatism and make it a priority to build long-standing relationships with our clients.  Our goal is your happiness and your success is our success.”

Goldstein Legal is also an active advocate of the British Franchise Association and its promotion of ethical franchising. Roz sat on the bfa board of directors for six years (two full terms) until 2022.

“Working with Goldstein Legal has been fantastic. From my first meeting with Roz, everything ran smoothly – no hiccups. The team listened to our plans and provided the legal advice we needed. Goldstein Legal know franchising inside out!” – Franchisor

“Goldstein Legal was the second practice I approached about reviewing a franchisee contract, the first practice I rang which were recommended made me feel very intimidated and were not approachable. This made me very nervous to approach somebody else but it had to be done. I rang Goldstein and spoke to Catrina she was brilliant, I straight away felt at ease and she was really helpful. She used language I understood and from then everything was done fluently and quickly.”  – Franchisee

“The Goldstein legal team were very efficient and friendly. Highly recommended.” – Franchisee
