Franchise specialist solicitors Owen White have recently acted for Cash Generator franchisees, in their buy-out of the business formerly owned by private equity investor, R Capital.
All 54 franchisees, operating 110 stores throughout the UK, worked together to negotiate terms by which they acquired the Cash Generator business and brand.
Owen White directors Russell Ford and Jane Masih of Owen White acted for the franchisee group.
Mark Shannon, owner of eight Cash Generator stores and a lead negotiator for the group said,
“We were all very pleased with the outcome of the deal; it was a difficult negotiation over many months but Russell and Jane provided great help and assistance to us to get it over the line. We now look forward to exciting times with the brand and have plans to develop it further”.
Andy Fraser of Harper McLeod and Adam McGiveron of Shakespeare Martineau, advised Cash Generator Franchising Limited and R Capital.
In a move thought to be the first of its kind, with franchisees taking control of their own network, the group now have plans to introduce new CRM systems and software, to improve communications with customers and increase profitability in the stores.
