As a franchisor, it is always a fulfilling moment to see an individual work their way through the different positions in your company, becoming an important stakeholder. Not only does it highlight the fantastic work ethic behind the individual, but it also highlights the opportunity for everyone to grow within your company. This time, logistics brand PACK & SEND share the story of their latest franchisee, who has plenty of experience with their global business.
The latest franchisee in the PACK & SEND network is Alex Ifidon of PACK & SEND Hammersmith, who opened his logistics business in the heart of West London this month. Alex has a wealth of experience with the PACK & SEND franchise, having started as a packer in Kensington and progressed to become a supervisor and then manager of the Harrow store. The expertise and knowledge that Alex has gained with the brand made him the perfect prospect when a fantastic new location in London became available.
“The team at PACK & SEND has been so supportive of my goals and aspirations,” said Alex. “They knew that my main ambition was to become a PACK & SEND franchisee. When the opportunity for Hammersmith arose, they contacted me, encouraging my application. I remember my dad telling me that PACK & SEND was the place for me after I had spent some time away from the business. Like in most situations, he was right, and since I returned to PACK & SEND in 2017, it has been the perfect fit. PACK & SEND is already home for me, so to get the opportunity to develop within the business is incredible.”
PACK & SEND launched in the UK in January 2009 following the franchise’s 20 years of success in Australia. By offering bespoke packaging and shipping solutions, franchisees can build profitable and rewarding businesses.
“Through my experience with the business, I know how powerful the PACK & SEND model can be. The business support is incredible – with a simple, clear approach and a winning structure. From my work in the other London-based service centres, I know how established and respected the PACK & SEND brand is within the city. Now I can be my own boss with all the freedom that allows but I’m protected under the umbrella of our established network. With the amazing support package in place, I’m convinced Hammersmith will be a big success.”
PACK & SEND offers a comprehensive support package to deliver franchisee success. The initial eight weeks of in-depth training includes welcoming a PACK & SEND expert into your service centre for the first month of the store opening. In addition, during the first year, franchisees receive guaranteed marketing activity match-funded by the franchisor.
Alex, who will be joined in his logistics business by his partner of 17 years, Monika, has this recommendation for others thinking about joining the PACK & SEND franchise.
“Just do it. Because the territories are going quickly, and the system in place is really powerful. If you put the effort in, you will thrive. I have no doubt that if you are truly passionate about making the business a success, you will benefit hugely.”
