At Auntie Anne’s, giving back is a core foundation the business is built on. In the UK, Auntie Anne’s recently partnered up with Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. Since September, the partnership has raised over £2200 for the charity. This was raised by in-store donations linked to the Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Chicken Bakes campaign throughout September and October, and also by the efforts of the members of the Head Office that participated in the Oxford Half Marathon on 7th October.
This marvellous charity funds Roald Dahl specialist children’s nurses who support children and families living with serious conditions which are often not in the spotlight, including Sickle Cell Anaemia, Epilepsy, Rare Diseases, Acquired Brain Injury and Neurological conditions. Currently there are over 70 nurses working in communities and hospitals across the UK.
Alongside the nurses, the charity also provides Marvellous Family Grants for families living in financial hardship while caring for a seriously ill child. They also fund a nurse led innovation programme called ‘The Marvellous Inventing Room’, which is a place where amazing new creations, that provide even more support for seriously ill children are dreamed up and turned into a reality by marvellous healthcare professionals. If you want to learn more about the charity or donate, please have a look at their website: www.roalddahlcharity.org and text ‘AUNT18’ and the amount you want to donate, e.g. £10 to 70070.
