British Franchise Association launches survey to assess the impact of COVID-19 on UK franchising

The British Franchise Association (bfa) has today launched a UK wide franchisor survey to support their role as the UK’s industry representative body of 43 years.

Statement from Pip Wilkins, bfa CEO

I hope, that if you are franchising in the UK, you will have heard of the British Franchise Association (bfa). Our standards are our ‘why’ and our mission today remains very much as it was when we were established. To operate an ethical standards-based accreditation framework, deliver value to our members through the services we offer and to promote and protect franchising.

We take our role to protect franchising seriously. COVID-19 is an unprecedented situation that not only impacts our Members, but franchising as a whole community. Therefore, it is with this in mind, that we are reaching out to the whole sector.

The bfa has created the British Franchising Survey to assess the impact of COVID-19 on franchised business. We are working to lobby on the challenges franchising is facing specifically so that we are equipped with the right information to represent these challenges effectively in a focused and constructive way.

If you are a franchisor, I would be grateful if you would take 5 minutes of your time to complete the survey. Any information you share within the survey will be kept confidential but will give us a stronger picture of how franchising is impacted and how the various support services are working for you. To complete the survey please follow this link: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/franchisingandcovid19

We know that today, no matter how strong your network is, you will be facing challenges. We want to see as many franchised businesses come through this pandemic as possible. I am pleased to let you know that next week we will be launching a weekly ‘Power Hour’ that will be open to any UK franchisor that wants to benefit from industry wide learning and peer to peer support from the leading educator in franchising.

The British Franchise Association is the self-regulatory body for British franchising and has been representing the industry since 1977. For more information or to speak with them directly please email press@thebfa.org
