Shortlisted for the EWiF ‘New Woman Franchisee of the Year 2021’ Vicky is certainly a shining example of the drive, determination and successes a franchisee can experience in our industry.
Vicky has been a member of the Rainbow family for 16 years, having joined Rainbow as a claims processor and progressing through the ranks of our Morecambe franchise. From day one she showed the team she meant business, when she arrived for her interview the directors were both tied up on call and the phone started ringing in reception where Vicky was waiting, undeterred she promptly picked up the phone and said “Good morning this is Rainbow International and you are speaking to Vicky, how can I help you today”. Jonathan the owner of the Morecambe franchisees hired her on the spot and has never looked back.
Fast forward to April 2020 Vicky and 2 of her colleagues, decided to take the plunge and purchase their own franchise business as a neighbouring franchisee was looking to retire and the location was perfect. After trading for only 3 months’ time Vicky’s new business won their first self-generated contract with the largest social housing provider in the Wirral, who own and manage 13,000 houses. This is a staggering contract win for this franchise business, even more impressive after just a few months of trading.
We aren’t sure how many hours are in Vicky’s day as she is not only growing and working on her own business, she still supports the Morecambe franchise and offers help to the wider network supporting their admin staff. Alongside this Vicky is mum to 2 beautiful little girls (who have been home-schooled throughout the pandemic), she is also an army reservist!
