Care Worker, Sharon Galbraith, of Caremark (Redditch and Bromsgrove) has been presented with The Caremark National Care Worker the Year award 2010.
From the moment Sharon started, it became clear to the whole team at Caremark (Redditch and Bromsgrove) that she was extremely well suited to being a care and support worker, despite not coming from a care background.
All of Sharon’s customers praise her, one even said she deserved an award and wrote a letter to the local paper thanking her and her colleagues for their hard work. Sharon received the Care Worker of the Month Award for the local Redditch office in October 2010.
One customer described Sharon as: “the most caring, thoughtful person who thinks of things that others would never dream of.” Another customer commented: “everyone in need of care should have a Sharon!”
Sharon was picked for the award out of nominations from over 60 offices across the UK. The award criteria were based around the individual’s achievements and commitment throughout the 2010 period and Sharon stood out as someone who had made a difference to the lives of her customers.
“It is always very difficult to decide who should win the award; we had so many strong nominations coming in from across the network which is so wonderful to see. It really does show us what a difference we can make to people’s lives, on a national scale! We are delighted to be able to recognise Sharon’s hard work and dedication and this appreciation extends to all of our Caremark care workers across the UK and Ireland,” commented Rosie Williams of Caremark Limited.
