The award-winning home care franchisor has appointed the internationally acclaimed Leigh Davis, of Davis+Delany to work exclusively with its network and tackle the ongoing challenge of care worker recruitment and retention.
Caremark is set to introduce the American consultant as a special guest speaker at their annual conference at the Forest of Arden on 28th January 2022.
Davis, self-named the Mad Scientist of Home Care, will be presenting to conference delegates, outlining his unique methods and how he works differently from the current systems to achieve outstanding results.
Davis’ own experience of poor-quality care staff employed to care for his parents led him to think about what needed to change in the industry; how to attract the right people for the job and keep them.
Over the next 2+ decades, he developed, refined, and evaluated his specialised recruitment, retention, and new client referral techniques.
His company Davis+Delany – The Home Care Lab, took a forensic look at the strategy other care companies adopted, the adverts they were using and their staffing issues and began to realise that some obvious, yet simple steps were being missed.
He made significant yet minor changes to his style of advertising, re-thought recruitment methods and the onboarding of care workers. The results were gratifying, and he saw his staff churn reduce to 17%, consistently maintaining the lowest industry turnover in the USA home care sector.
Commenting on this new collaboration David Glover, joint CEO of Caremark says: “Leigh’s bespoke coaching methods are unique and consistently get results. His track record speaks for itself.
“Over the last twenty years countless organisations have benefited from his 7 Point System and now we will too.
“We are excited to have him on board and look forward to working closely with him over the coming months. I am sure his knowledge and considerable expertise will make a significant impact where it is needed.”
