2020 proved a challenging year for many businesses and individuals, and at Cargo2Go it was no different. The initial impact of the first lockdown in April saw an understandable dip in business activity and turnover. However, after an initial period of readjustment, the business was able to identify certain customers and new business opportunities that were performing well during the pandemic.
For example, by focusing on specific customers who were serving the medical and NHS related sectors, and the food and drink service industries, we were able to finish the year on a high. So much so we recorded our record turnover for the months of November & December in nearly ten years of trading. Whether it was delivering hospital beds, essential medical supplies and critical PPE equipment to the medical industry, or food and drink supplies and ingredients to home delivery food providers, the second half of the year saw a very strong uptick in business.
