Adie started his franchise business just two months before the first lockdown in March 2020.
And despite initial concerns, he’s enjoyed phenomenal success since then.
Here’s his story.
What’s your background Adie?
“I started my career in estate agency in 2006. During that time, I’ve worked for independent agencies and have experience successfully starting the sales arm of a letting’s agency from scratch. I’ve experienced every type of property market during that time.
Why did you choose EweMove?
“I got to a point in my career when I thought, why should I be running a business for someone else. This led me to research the franchise market closely, and EweMove caught my eye as several local franchisees operate near where I worked and live.
When did you open for business?
“I opened in January 2020 and was close to putting it on hold when lockdown happened in March.
It was such an uncertain time, and no one knew what was around the corner. However, I took on board some great advice and did a lot of work on social media during the first six weeks when many Hist Street agents were shut for business. This helped raise my profile and led to us winning a lot of instructions when things reopened properly.
“During that time, we held regular Facebook Live property clinics which answered the questions people had about the local housing market. This was great for our profile and getting our name out there.
“We’ve since gone from strength to strength.”
What’s next for you?
“We’re looking to expand by adding two neighbouring territories and employing two self-employed (or was it associate agents?) agents to join our team. We’re optimistic about the future and keen to build on our initial successes.
