The team from home care franchise, Home Instead Senior Care had a fantastic evening recently, picking up two awards at the Leaders in Care Awards 2019. These awards recognise and celebrate the companies and people in the home care and care home sectors which are driving innovation and providing outstanding, person-centred care.
Home Instead CEO, Martin Jones, was named as Executive of the Year – recognising his inspired leadership on both a company and sector-wide level. The judges acknowledged Martin’s instrumental role in steering their network of over 208 offices to ‘change the face of ageing.’
They also mentioned his passion for their bespoke approach to quality and how this has resulted in franchise owners achieving more CQC (Care Quality Commission) Outstanding ratings than any other home care provider.
Martin’s drive to investigate the potential of technology to deliver positive change in the sector was also acknowledged.
On winning the award, Martin said: “It’s a privilege, and this is for all of the caregivers that are out there. It’s not about me, it’s about changing the face of the sector – so this is just a fantastic thing to be part of.”
The grand finale of the evening was for Home Care Provider of the Year where Home Instead was up against four other providers. The Home Instead team was, quite rightly, thrilled when they were announced as winners.
In making this award the judges cited that Home Instead have ‘led the pack’ in terms of providing outstanding care. They were also impressed with their innovative model where clients’ emotional and social needs are prioritised and mention was also made of their position in embracing new technologies to support their clients.
These latest awards, once again, demonstrate how Home Instead is leading from the front in all aspects of home care.
