Driver Hire hits 100 with recent network growth

Driver Hire‘s nationwide network has hit one hundred not out after a franchisee recruitment boom which saw the specialist transport and logistics recruiter open new offices in Derby, Swansea and Walsall. In addition new franchisees have taken over at existing offices in Bournemouth, Slough and Wakefield.

One of the new franchisees joining the network is Jon Bell. “When Derby became available, an area I know well, I decided the time was right to invest,” he said. “Before joining Driver Hire I worked for a high street bank as a corporate relationships manager specialising in transport & logistics. So I have a fair bit of industry experience and could see the potential in a Driver Hire franchise.”

Commenting on a highly successful start to 2013, Driver Hire’s network development director Tony Goacher said: “The interest and demand for Driver Hire franchises speaks volumes about the strength of our business and the outlook for the recruitment industry in general. Our network as a whole finished 2012/13 with a flourish and we’ve maintained that momentum during the early weeks of the new financial year, which is great news for all our franchisees.”

The franchise believes that current retail trends and the business landscape will both help growth to continue. “The driver recruitment market is worth an estimated £2bn annually,” Tony continues. “Online shopping is feeding demand for ‘final mile’ delivery drivers. Meanwhile economic uncertainty means many businesses are using temporary labour to create a flexible workforce. Add to that Driver Hire’s thirty years of success and our proven franchise model and it’s easy to see why a Driver Hire franchise is such an attractive proposition.”
