Driver Hire, one of the leading road transport and logistics specialist recruiters, is strengthening its national accounts team with two internal appointments to senior management positions.
Peter Lawford will become national sales director with responsibility for the ongoing development of Driver Hire’s core national accounts business. Key to winning new business is the company’s bespoke managed service (MSP system), which introduces greater efficiency into the management of temporary recruitment. This is achieved by managing the booking, timesheet and invoice processes online.
Meanwhile, Graham Duckworth will be divisional director responsible for dh Logistics Appointments – a recently-launched, hassle free and cost effective recruitment service for customers recruiting permanent white collar staff for a wide variety of senior management and management roles.
Commenting on the appointments, Driver Hire’s Chief Executive, Chris Chidley, said: “National accounts now accounts for 20% of the network’s total annual revenue and is of massive benefit to our franchisees . That will be further increased as income from dh Logistics Appointments comes on stream. As for our core national accounts service — the provision of temporary staff — we’ve invested heavily in our managed service software and that’s helping to deliver significant new business. To make the most of the many opportunities we encounter, we have decided that there should now be a director with specific responsibility for each of these areas.”
