This monumental event, EWIB 2023, is proudly sponsored by McDonald’s Restaurants, Platinum Wave Franchising, The Franchising Centre and Citation. EWIB is back for 2023! An event for female business owners, entrepreneurs, franchisors and franchisees who want to network with like-minded women. With the promise of fantastic speakers and interactive sessions, you’ll be sure to leave with a wealth of valuable takeaways.
EWIB is an event that sets out to do exactly that, Empower Women in Business. If you are a woman in business this event is for you, created by women, developed by women, delivered by women and received year on year by an ever increasing number of women so why not join in? Promoting a safe space allowing for vulnerability, trying something new for the first time, or stepping out of your comfort zone. All whilst offering fantastic educational and inspirational speakers and networking opportunities for like minded business women.
We know that in life and in business, every moment counts. Moments to grow and develop as individuals, creating a stronger, improved version of ourselves. But also, moments to reflect, relax and take time to listen, providing ourselves with what we need. For all these reasons this years Empowering Women in Business will focus on the topic of “making your moments count”.
We start off the day hearing from Pip Wilkins, CEO here at the BFA, about how she has made the most out of each day, and how even the small things can make a huge difference. Moving on to our first keynote speaker of the day, we are honoured to announce Harpreet Kaur, winner of the BBC 1 Apprentice 2022 who will be sitting down for a personal fireside chat with Pip. Before breaking for lunch, we have the Magic Six Speed Sessions, tackling topics from coaching and building positive circles to being self-aware and not standing in your own way.
For our second keynote session we are delighted to announce Sam McAlister, former interviews producer for BBC 2’s flagship news programme ‘Newsnight’, discussing ‘how to convince a Prince’. This is followed by an interactive panel of leading ladies in franchising. We round off the day with our final keynote session brought to us by double FA Women’s Cup winner and three-time Premiere/Super League champion Eniola Aluko, one of the leading figures in women’s football.
