The British Franchise Association (bfa) designs and runs a range of awareness and educational events for the benefit of prospective franchisees and franchisors.
One of the key membership benefits is the opportunity for members to learn from and participate in a wide range of educational and social events.
Member forums are held three times a year in various locations and provide the perfect opportunity for members to network with colleagues, keep up to date with the changing franchise landscape and continue the learning journey required to build and maintain success in franchising.
Member ForumsThe bfa Annual Conference is sighted as 'the' unmissable event in franchising; featuring engaging and inspirational keynote speakers and a comprehensive seminar programme enabling attendees to select engagement opportunities based on personal and business needs.

Annual ConferenceThe bfa HSBC Franchise Awards highlight the outstanding business acumen, passion and achievement of individuals and businesses across the UK. These are the most established and prestigious awards in the franchise sector, running for nearly 30 years and widely covered in national, regional and trade press.

Franchise AwardsThe Qualified Franchise Professional (QFP) is a nationally recognised qualification demonstrating professional knowledge and experience in franchising. It has been specifically developed for people working within the franchise industry who want to demonstrate their experience, understanding and ethical approach to franchising.
QFP is available to members of the bfa only.
QFP Training EventsIf you would like to invest in a franchise or intend to franchise your business receiving expert advice and information is essential. As the voice and self-regulating body of the franchise industry, the bfa is best placed to educate you about the opportunities, risks and rewards of franchising so that you can make informed choices.
We offer educational seminars for both prospecive franchisees and franchisors in different locations around the UK.

Educational SeminarsThe bfa run a number of events throughout the year where the purpose is to either maximise a relaxed networking opportunity or raise money for the Franchise Trust which supports individuals that otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to get into franchising.

Charity and Social EventsLearn more about a specific aspect of franchising such as recruitment, resales, legal issues or network motivation. Specialist events target subjects and enable attendees to network with like minded delegates whilst learning in a highly engaging environment.

BFA Specialist EventsEvents are created and exist to broaden the reach and knowledge of franchising to the UK public. Events, such as Women in Franchising, have proven hugely successful.
These events are open to anyone to attend.
Public Awareness EventsExhibitions are one of the most effective and efficient ways to conduct research into investing in a franchise. Four bfa-accredited exhibitions are held each year. You can be confident that only members of the bfa – or brands that have been exhibition-accredited by the bfa – are exhibiting. You will have an excellent opportunity to speak directly to franchisors from a broad range of brands, business sectors and investment levels in the knowledge that they are reputable.
Franchise ExhibitionsWebinars are being introduced for new and existing members. The aim is to ensure that our members and prospects are aware of the benefits that membership can bring and where these benefits can align with their strategies.
Webinars will be run by the bfa throughout the year and are available to member and non-member representatives.
WebinarsAt the AGM, the bfa presents a review of the previous 12 months’ activity and looks forward to the year ahead. This is followed by the announcements to our Board of Directors and Forum Chair positions.
The AGM takes place in early December alongside the Chairman's Gala Dinner.
The AGMbfa workshops are designed to provide a focused approach to learning in a bespoke environment. Content is delivered in partnership with professional advisors and a tailored approach ensures value is received and thought processes are geared to action plans upon departure.
