Afrikana is an African inspired restaurant brand serving an array of food with a unique African twist. Originating from Aldridge, a small town in the Midlands in 2018, a gap in the current hospitality market saw the start of an African inspired table service restaurant offering high-end food infused with beautiful African flavours.
In 2019 Afrikana experienced a year of fast paced growth, progression and development taking the step in becoming a Franchise business. This resulted in multiple franchise licenses being sold and opening throughout the UK. Afrikana aims to establish a wholesome experience, from the music and art to the food and service.

“Taking an Afrikana franchise has got to be potentially one of the most rewarding business risks I have ever taken. We opened our store in the middle of a pandemic and it remained buoyant! The Afrikana team has helped so much in guiding us to set up our dream store so it is a safe, secure and exciting experience for everyone!... Cardiff is buzzing and Afrikana is the definitely hot spot right now!”
“Afrikana has been such a beautiful journey from start to present, being part of the Afrikana familia has made myself really powerful in the sense of becoming a businessman. In business you will have your ups and downs specially during the pandemic, it was tough. With the support from Afrikana HQ from marketing to the HQs chefs travelling making their way to the branch to get hands on support is unbelievable. Blackburn was really struggling at first in the sense of getting the correct food out following their design and structures in place, however with the support from Afrikana HQ we have overcome all these issues and now Afrikana Blackburn is one of the most talked about restaurant up north. We are constantly growing, and I am very proud of this achievement.”
