Camile Thai Kitchen is an international, health focussed, Thai, restaurant home delivery restaurant chain. We specialize in the Thai classics like Green Chicken Curry and Pad Thai, packed in fully compostable packaging.
Camile was started in 2010 in Dublin, Irelands, by franchise veteran Brody Sweeney. There are almost 30 Camile’s in Ireland, 23 of which are franchised to 10 franchisees. Since opening in London in 2017, Camile have opened in 6 locations, the first of which is now franchised in Tooting Bec.
Training is over 6 weeks, split between classroom and on the job. Camile induction training. is basically a start-your-own business course. We assume new franchisees have never worked in our industry before, nor that they have run their won business. We cover the four areas of Finance, marketing, operations and HR – in addition to restaurant acquisition and construction.
Camile franchisees are initially hands on restaurant managers. Like any restaurant this involves working hardest when other people are relaxing – weekend evenings and bank holidays. Franchisees love interacting with people – and spend most of their day doing just that. Leading and developing their own team, interacting with suppliers, and hosting our guests. It’s hard work, on your feet a lot of the time.
