Coversure was established in 1986 with a view to providing a high quality, good value insurance service to local people across the country through independently franchised broking businesses. Since then, Coversure has grown rapidly and now boasts over 90 offices throughout the UK. Each office offers a wide range of policies to cover property, business, and vehicles plus some more specialist covers, including security business, valeters and professional indemnity insurance.

Coversure has over 90 independently owned and run franchised offices throughout the UK. Each is run by experienced insurance professionals and regulated by the FCA. Being independent, Coversure’s offices are free to choose which areas of business they wish to work in, and many choose a specialism alongside their core small and medium sized enterprise (SME) insurance provision. Offices vary in size from sole traders right up to multi-location groups. What unites them is their commitment to customer service and an entrepreneurial flair.
Key to our success as a franchisor is the training programme we offer to prospective new franchisees. This support begins before an office opens it doors to the public and continues through the life of the franchise. All new franchisees will receive a 2-week training schedule, prior to launch, that includes meeting with all of the various departments from our central services functions, as well as a number of training sessions on our in-house IT platform. Training will continue after opening, with regular contact and support, where required. In addition, franchisees will be able to join any of our Coversure or Insurer lead training sessions, that are offered throughout the year and our intranet site is a valuable source of addition training material, to ensure our budding entrepreneurs having everything at their disposal to run a successful business.
No two days are the same in the life of a franchisee; one day you could be speaking to a homeowner about their home and motor insurance and the next it could be dealing with an enquiry for haulier or a care home. With an extensive panel of insurers, you will be able to establish many valuable contacts within the industry. When you’re not sourcing quotations for your clients, you could be joining one of the many insurer webinars or even a Coversure Townhall, where we are able to keep you abreast of all the latest goings on in the business. You will receive regular contact from your own development executive, who’s responsibility it is to help you grow your business and on top of that, we also have an annual conference, where you can meet your fellow franchisees and insurance partners, in person.
