One Stop Stores Limited is a retail convenience business with over 740 neighbourhood stores across England and Wales, employing more than 10,000 colleagues.
The majority of its stores open seven days a week from 6am to 11pm and offer local communities a range of convenience food and household goods. For added convenience many stores offer additional services including free cash machines, Post Office, PayPoint (for paying utility bills), lottery and mobile electronic top-up.
One Stop announced its trial of a new franchise model for independent retailers in April 2013, with the pilot store trading from September the previous year.
Following a successful pilot, the scheme was officially launched at the end of January 2014 and allows retailers to continue running their own businesses whilst benefiting from One Stop’s successful brand, convenience expertise, distribution, support and investment.
One Stop franchising is available to retailers in England & Wales (excluding Cornwall) and currently excludes forecourts.
There is a 13-week transition period between installation of EPoS and your store re-brand. Once EPoS is installed, depending on your needs, you will receive up to 5 days training/support on the One Stop ways of working.
On an ongoing basis, you will have a dedicated Business Development Manager, access to our extensive operations manual & Step by Step guides, plus the opportunity to pay for additional training modules.
Our franchisees are predominantly existing independent retailers, already running their own convenience stores. As the store owner, you will continue to operate your store, dealing with customers and managing all front of house and back office operations.
The key difference will be that you will implement the proven and successful One Stop ways of working into your business, to allow you to maximise your store’s future potential.
