Rhythm Time’s passion is music and its valuable early developmental benefits. Our fun, engaging & multi award-winning music programmes for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers have a distinct advantage over other children’s activities – they stimulate important physical, social and emotional development as well as concentration, listening, language, numeracy, literacy and motor skills. Our courses support children’s development and learning needs according to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
We have over 40 Business Owners across the UK providing age-appropriate classes to over 12,500 young children each week. Plans to expand overseas are also underway.
As a Rhythm Time Business Owner, you’ll enjoy the reward and genuine satisfaction of building a business that makes a real difference to young families in local communities.
Our classes are run in venues as well as online to enable families to enjoy them in a place and at a time most convenient to them. This enables our Business Owners to run and build profitable and sustainable businesses.
Rhythm Time became one of the first Franchisors to receive the prestigious Smith & Henderson (now WorkBuzz) Five Star Franchisee Satisfaction Award and we have continued to achieve over 90% satisfaction results in subsequent independent Franchisee surveys.
We also undertake regular quarterly customer surveys and latest results show that 93.8% of our customers are very satisfied with our classes and 93% would recommend us to their friends.
Rhythm Time was started in 1995 in Solihull by a musician and music teacher. The first franchise was bought in 2000 and that franchisee is still with Rhythm Time today, owning the largest territory. Our franchise model supports Owner Operators – individuals who want to run a smaller business that fits around their family commitments, as well as Owner Managers – entrepreneurs who wish to build and manage larger businesses across wider territories. Our current focus is to build our UK offering across all areas of the UK, enabling every young child to be able to access and benefit from our multi-sensory and early developmental activities. We are open to international expansion but only where we can ensure that our courses will be delivered to our exacting quality standards.
Comprehensive Franchise Package
Our comprehensive Franchise package provides you with everything you need to launch and successfully build your profitable business. It includes:
Investment packages vary depending on the size of territory and each is designed to offer healthy returns. These are genuinely rewarding business opportunities with a highly respected and long-established brand. Each business offers family-friendly flexibility for owner-operators as well as higher financial returns for larger territory investments.
Are you the right fit for us?
Franchising is founded on the mutually beneficial business relationship between the Franchisor and the Franchisee. We entrust Franchisees with our brand, our methodology and our systems, and provide training and ongoing support to help Franchisees build their business. Commitment, wherewithal, and dedication are all required to make that business a success.
In order to realise the full potential of the Rhythm Time business, we’ll look for these qualities:
Specifically for owner-operators, you’ll need:
All business owners will also require:
Please note that for owner-operators, experience in running a small business is helpful but not essential.
Our proven processes and systems will enable you to not only succeed from the start but to help you grow a strong, sustainable business as you uphold our quality brand and excellent reputation. Opportunities for further income streams are also available such as parties, nursery sessions and product sales.
Rhythm Time provides a comprehensive and structured training package that includes:
* Practical training is provided in direct marketing as well as further business and financial training to enable Franchisees to achieve their short and medium term goals.
Ongoing support & training is also offered in Financial Planning, Social Media Training, Technical Administration, Recruitment, Staff Training and Covid-related training.
All training will be a mix of face-to-face, online, webinars, videos, Zoom and telephone.
No day is ever the same as a Rhythm Time Business Owner which is one of the reasons why they love what they do. However, most days will consist of running a mix of Young Baby, Baby, Toddler or Preschool classes within a venue in your exclusive territory. If you are running classes yourself, you’ll greet parents/carers and their little ones as they arrive for class before running each 30-minute session. Most classes will be in the mornings. In the afternoons, you could be carrying out some direct marketing or training your class leaders or sourcing new class venues. Some time will also be spent on social marketing, administration and ensuring you’re ready for the next day’s classes. As your business grows, you’ll look to take on new members of staff including Office & Marketing Assistants as well as Class Leaders to run the classes. This will enable you to reorganise your daily activities in line with your personal and family commitments, and enjoy a more management role rather than an operational one.
Frances Donkin – Rhythm Time Cheshire
The Franchisors and the Central Office are a dedicated, supportive team working tirelessly to keep Rhythm Time fresh and up-to-date and keep my business relevant in today’s market. Training is excellent, and resources are available on our internal website which provides 24/7 access. Initially, I chose this career as it worked brilliantly around my family – 21 years later my Rhythm Time business still gives me an enormous buzz! What do I enjoy most? The flexibility of being my own boss and the genuine job satisfaction.
Rachel Turner – Rhythm Time Warwickshire
I absolutely love teaching Rhythm Time classes – there are so many developmental benefits for the children as they progress through the classes. I’m building up a really successful business, supported by an experienced and highly-recognised company.
Fiona Haining – Rhythm Time Business Owner, Aberdeen
Why I love my Rhythm Time
Music was a big part of my life as a child. I played piano, sang in choirs and studied music courses all through school. I was part of many musical productions and loved them all. At university I did a degree in Psychology and focused on child development. However, when I graduated I was unsure which career path to take and simply settled for an admin role in the NHS, which I did for 10 years.
However, after my son was born, I needed a career that I could really be passionate about and would fit around my family. I found Rhythm Time online and immediately loved the whole philosophy behind it. I instinctively knew it was for me! Each session was well thought out and I knew I would be proud to provide them for parents in my area!
I started my Rhythm Time franchise in 2012 and have never looked back! I honestly can’t imagine doing anything else. I love my job and can take and collect my son from school each day. I was nervous about starting my own business but by buying a franchise, I knew that I had a tried and tested business model and lots of guidance. The support from Rhythm Time Central Office is phenomenal! My franchise is geographically far from all the others, yet I never feel on my own.
