Our UK base stands at 23 million mobile customers and we want to become the most trusted provider of brilliant digital experiences for our customers.
In 2005, when we opened our first franchise shop, O2 was already running 400 company-owned shops; experience that proved invaluable when developing our franchise channel. Nearly eight years later we have now opened over 120 shops across the UK and in 2013, following the transfer of 82 company shops into the franchise estate, franchisees will run 43% of all O2 shops. New opportunities are currently very limited.
Pre- opening Retail Academy training ensures franchisees understand their roles, our expectations regarding customer experience, the franchise agreement and what being an O2 franchisee really means.
Ongoing training supports long-term business growth. Our Learning & Development team offers a blended approach including classroom training, workshops, online modules, coaching and mentoring. Support covers not just Products and Propositions but everything from Performance Management and Time Planning to Managing Profitability in store.
Franchisees are responsible for consumer and smb sales across key propositions including mobile phones (pay monthly and pay & go), mobile and home broadband, landlines plus accessory ranges. Franchisees must deliver an exceptional customer experience so both sales and service skills are vital.
A typical franchisee will be ambitious and self-motivated; a good communicator; and comfortable both talking to customers as well as recruiting, managing and motivating their team.
