Uncle Sams first opened in Brighton 1971 when we were the only place to get a real hamburger in the South of England. Almost 50 years later and the original shop is still open, where we still make the best burgers you can buy, all freshly made to our customer’s orders.
Serving beef, chicken and vegetarian burgers, french fries, triple thick real dairy milk-shakes, fizzy drinks, onion rings and mozzarella fingers, we start cooking only when we get an order. Nothing is pre-cooked and kept warm in a hot box – everything is fresh!
Having traded successfully for over 45 years, there are currently 12 different Uncle Sams locations around the South of England, stretching from Eastbourne to Portsmouth. With a tried and tested business model and excellent customer reputation, Uncle Sams offer an exciting and profitable opportunity to potential new franchisees.
Franchisees can expect full support from our head office where we manage admin, marketing, stock distribution and create our world famous homemade sauces.
We offer an extensive 1-month training course to all our franchisees to complete while their unit is constructed. This consists of one week in our original Brighton shop, where you will be introduced to our business practices and products, and observe the day to day running of an Uncle Sams franchise.
You will then spend 2 weeks in our Brighton based head office where you will learn everything you need to know about the behind the scenes managing and maintaining an Uncle Sams franchise; such as stock management, ordering, payroll and more.
Finally, you will spend 1 week in one of our 11 other franchises. Here you will put what you have learned into practice and get an idea of what it is like to run an Uncle Sams shop, directly from one of our other franchisees. Once your training is complete you will be ready to manage your own Uncle Sams. However, if you have any problems we offer 7 days a week support to all our franchisees. As an Uncle Sams franchisee you will oversee every aspect of your shop. We encourage you to work in a hands-on role, working closely with staff to help produce the excellent service we are known for. You will also work closely with the head office to manage promotion and marketing for your shop, and will receive dedicated support with any equipment, admin, or payroll issues you may encounter.
